$14.7 billion to Build the Education Revolution

Building the Education Revolution

Last week, The Australian Government announced that it would invest a further $14.7 billion to boost the Education Revolution over the next three years. Of this $14.7 billion, $1.28 billion has been allocated to the National School Pride Program, which will provide a means for schools to undertake construction and refurbishment projects, including Green Upgrades.

All Australian schools—primary and secondary, government and non-government—are eligible for funding under the National School Pride Program element of Building the Education Revolution (BER).
Funding under this program must be used to undertake construction of small-scale infrastructure and/or minor refurbishment projects such as:

  • Refurbishment of buildings;
  • Construction or upgrades of fixed shade structures, covered outdoor learning areas, sporting grounds and facilities;
  • Green upgrades (water tanks), insulation; and
  • Specialised infrastructure support for students with disabilities or special needs.

BlueScope Water is pleased to offer schools a complete solution for the Green Upgrades element of the National School Pride Program. We specialise in managing projects from start to finish, including the provision and installation of rainwater harvesting systems to suit every situation and requirement.
